Atalaya Science Smart

The students of 4th of primary school have carried out a project together with the 3-year-old students. The 4th graders studied the life cycle of the butterflies observing the different stages in their life: egg, caterpillar, big caterpillar, chrysalides and butterflies. Later, they went to the 3-year-old classroom and represented the story of "The very hungry caterpillar" using puppets and showing the chrysalises that later became butterflies. Finally, ls butterflies were left in freedom being witnessed by children in their playground.

The students of 5th grade of primary school have done an activity together with the students of the baccalaureate of biology in the laboratory. In the lab, the students have been able to observe cells of their own cheek.  Moreover, they have learned how to use the microscope identifying the nucleus and cytoplasm of an eukaryotic animal cell. They really enjoyed this new experience!
